Spanish

The national flag of Spain – The Spanish language is spoken in many areas of the world due to the early influence of the Spanish Empire.

Hola! Thanks to David Potter’s interest in working for Chambers Tutoring, we are now able to offer Spanish Tutoring sessions.

Why Study Spanish

Spanish is used as a major foreign language in multiple schools – Glenwood High School in our local area is an example of this but there are many schools which offer it as a subject.

Spanish is studied considerably more frequently in Scotland than Italian and is seen as one of the main three foreign languages taught in schools here alongside French and German. This is why we are delighted to be able to offer expert 1-to-1 Spanish tuition sessions.

What we can offer with Spanish Tutoring

For beginners, we will start with the very basics of the language and we work at your pace to make learning to speak Spanish a fun and rewarding experience, even if you are not seeking a qualification in doing so.

As you progress, we will introduce new grammar notes which may sound daunting but with all of our language tuition, we see this as the best way to teach these subjects. The grammar is the glue and the words are the crafting material. You can’t craft without the glue. Grammar remains very important in our teaching of Spanish, the same way our other language tuition is structured.

For National 5 and Higher students, we offer full support to back up what you have been learning in school and will set our tutoring in a way which will prevent you having to juggle topics while you study Spanish. Instructions will always be given in English (even if given in Spanish first) as another way to avoid confusing our students.

So if this sounds like something you feel you or your child could benefit from, feel free to get in touch with us at Chambers Tutoring.
